A little about ourselvesThe STEM University's mission is to bring quality STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programs and workshops to areas of high educational need. This includes FLL team coaching, math tutoring, science workshops, and programming classes.
Many children living in low income neighborhoods aren't given opportunities to attend academic extra curricular programs. These programs can really be the difference between college readiness and having to take remedial classes. These programs also instill a sense of curiosity and inquiry about the world and the way it really works. Currently, The STEM University sponsors a FIRST LEGO League Robotics team named The Owl-Matics. Check out their website here. We are currently looking for a space to house our awesome efforts! If you know of any low cost of free spaces in Southeast Queens or Brooklyn, please contact us and help us deliver more content in your areas. |
Recent ProjectsThe STEM University ran a one week intensive robotics week at The Cyber Camp in July 2017. The students learned all about the how to program, how to design and make cool robots, and why coding is so important in the 21st century!
